She trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) before making her breakthrough with a critically lauded performance in Inherent Vice (2014), directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. She is also known for her roles in Steve Jobs (2015), Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) and its sequel, Alien: Covenant (2017), and the HBO series The Third Day.
